1st/2nd Dreghorn Boys Brigade Prize giving, 2022
1st/2nd Dreghorn Boys Brigade had their annual prize giving on Wednesday 25th April 2022, which was the first following the closure foe 18 months during lockdown.
Boys, officers and their families came together to celebrate the work of the boys over the year since returning in September 2021.
There has been much change while the Company was closed during the pandemic but on our return the number of boys increased, which was blessing.
Mark Hudson, Company Staff had to step down after 30 years service to Boys Brigade due to health needs and we wish him well.
All boys during the the prize giving were awarded their service badges and the Queens Jubilee badge in recognition of 70 years.
Photographed are the Anchor Boys, Junior Section and Company Section. There were several awards including the Sunday School Attendance Award which went to Noah Sheddon and the Nellie Muir Memorial Trophy for scripture/work in the church, which went to David Muir.
The Company Section boys will be heading off to Battalion Camp in July to Feldon Lodge, Hemel Hemsted along with staff. There are lots of adventures and activities planned for the camp and we cannot wait to share how they get on. It was a delight to celebrate together again and we look forward to welcoming the boys back as well as new boys next session.
The session returns on Monday 5th September for Company Section and Wednesday 7th September for Anchor Boys and Junior Section for more information contact Mr Neil Company Captain on 07811505566.
Have a great summer everyone.
